Breakfast Waffles

Sharing this recipe because it was loved by my children. It has a hint of cinnamon coupled with the subtle sweetness of the maple syrup, and also a little savoury.

This recipe makes about 12 small waffles, which can make into 4 meals for my children (1 & 5 years old). I undercook the waffles and freeze them to keep them for another time. Whenever we are going to eat waffles for breakfast, I just pop them into the fridge at night and bake them in the oven in the morning till they are warm enough to our liking.

The combinations are endless with these waffles - eat them with fresh fruits, yoghurt, butter, jam and even plain!

Waffle Recipe:

[Dry Ingredients]

1.5 cups flour

1 cup baby oat

3 tsp baking powder

1 tsp cinnamon powder

1/4 tsp salt

[Wet Ingredients]

1/2 cup yoghurt

2 eggs

1 cup milk

1 tbsp SG Homemade purple sweet potato powder

2 tbsp maple syrup

Instructions:

Whisk the wet ingredients together, followed by the dry ingredients.

Scoop the desired amount and cook batter in a waffle maker.
