Cyprus: Happy Independence Day

In Cyprus, Independence Day is celebrated each year on October 1st with a military parade, in its capital Nicosia.

Cyprus became independent from the British in 1960, so today October 1 2020, we are proudly celebrating our 60th anniversary.

Even the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, the tallest building in the world, lit up in colors of the Cypriot flag to mark nation's Independence Day. Thank you Dubai.
