Human Stories: Claire Boscq Scott, Jersey, British Isles

Updated: Nov 3, 2020

Claire Boscq Scott lives in Jersey, a little island between France and England. She feels she has the best job in the world. She gets paid to enjoy massages, get nails done, eat in restaurants and sleep in fabulous hotels. She also gets paid to shop. Most importantly, Claire gets paid to help businesses improve their service delivery, increase their employees’ engagement and customer loyalty, have a

thriving business and enjoy exponential growth. She feels like the bees, well more like the Queen Bee, and just like those remarkable small size creatures which have been helping our planet’s ecosystem since the dawn of time, it is her mission to help businesses to thrive.

This is Claire's story as shared with Affluent Society from Jersey:

The chapter of my life

Between 2008 to 2009, whilst working at L’Horizon Hotel & Spa, we used to have monthly mystery guest visits from a UK company. I thought, shouldn’t we be doing this with a local company? A

company who would really understand our local needs? After doing some research, I realised there was a gap in the market for a similar service with local knowledge. This excited me. It gave me the impetus to leave my secure job and pursue this idea. In the summer of 2009, I sold my house and used the profit to set up on my own business, to provide a service that filled this gap. And so, the next chapter of my life began. I took a completely leap of faith and when things are meant to be they are meant to be.

People make businesses thrive

I am a person who live to help others and it makes me sad when I see people confused and anxious and I can't help them. I am afraid that the pandemic is putting so much pressure on businesses that they aren't caring enough for their environment, their people and their customers. They forget what is important and that is the people who make their business thrive.

Know what you want

I want to focus on helping businesses on their Employee and Customer Experience (CX) Strategy. I do his through coaching, consulting and supporting them on their CX journey and creating a bigger impact on their businesses improvement. I also want to focus on training employees around the world and developing a Learning & Development online training platform, which would bring different types of training, customer service, and of course, but more so, the core principles of being a caring person and delivering exceptional customer experience.

The BQB CX Institute brings international experts in their fields who have developed specific programmes to give people the tools to bring out the best of themselves, their world and their business, so they can be happy and deliver exceptional customer experiences in a compelling and lively way. It inspires them to extend their own skills and develop new ones, which has a transformational affect in themselves and in their organisation.

What's your buzz?

Whether or not I can travel, I get such a buzz by sharing my passion and energy on virtual or real stages, delivering my Keynote Presentations inspiring audiences around the world and spreading the crucial importance of CX (Customer Experience) and EX (Employee Experience), sharing knowledge through the stories in this book, so businesses can be enthused and empowered to make the necessary changes in their businesses and thrive!

So follow your heart. If you have a passion and you truly believe this is your purpose, well, follow your purpose. We all have a reason as to why we are here on this planet. So find your purpose and then live it everyday with passion. Be a role model for those around you, be consistent and deliver with excellence.
