Christmas gets people in Melbourne all excited. Its not only in the city with its many free festive activities. The suburbs get into the holiday mood too, with homes all dressed up in sparking lights and elaborate displays. We're not talking about interiors but houses that illuminate with festive cheer on roofs, terraces and lawns.
You can find Christmas trees, reindeers, sleighs, elves, Santas, inflatables, animated figures, lasers, fake snow, thousands of lights, carols and many more. Some homes are also using their Christmas decorations to raise funds for charitable causes.
