OpenWalls is an international photography award designed to elevate the careers of both emerging and established photographers by exhibiting their work in prestigious and historic locations around the world. It is a collaboration between Galerie Huit Arles and 1854 Media
Photographers are invited to participate and respond to the theme "Then & Now" with images that convey a sense of reflection or the changes that time brings.
- How have you, or your families, grown and developed?
- How has the past year affected us?
- Has history repeated itself?
- What challenges face us ahead?
Photographers are encouraged to explore the theme in many different ways including experimenting with new work, revisit past or forgotten projects or examine past archives and found imagery.
Winners can look forward to a dedicated one-on-one portfolio review with a member of British Journal of Photography’s (BJP) multi-award-winning editorial team, feature on BJP and exhibited alongside this year’s Les Rencontres D’Arles.
1854 Awards culminate in some of the most viewed exhibitions in global history, offering unparalleled opportunities to be showcased, published and recognised around the world. Enter OpenWalls here - https://www.1854.photography/awards/openwalls/
