What’s so good 😊?

It’s has been more than a decade of great eating for me @ this nostalgic Hawker Centre located at the heart of Central Business District and opposite to Chinatown ... 😮

Many of Singapore uniquely Yummily 😋 Great 👍 Food reside here : Roasted Duck & Char Siew, Fish Soup, Ngoh Hiang, Western Food, Hainanese Chicken Rice, Oysters’ Cake, Nonya Kueh Kueh, Tim Sum, Nasi Padang, Indian Food, BBQ and other Heritage Food 🥘 ...etc.

My unique Quarto porridge comprises : Mixed Fish slices, shredded chicken meat, Century eggs cubes and egg. Its my kind of comfort heritage food, partly the owner is a Hainanese and inherited the cooking of porridge from his family.

It’s key weapons :

1. Porridge 🥣- cooked well, stirred and very little visible grains left, with a machine next to the Chef.

2. It’s Quarto mixed of ingredients - freshly cooked and well flavoured and blended well as a whole. My wholesome breakfast or lunch.

3. It’s garnished of shallot oil + preserved chai pok + shallots bits + spring onions make the porridge delectable, fragrance, so tastefully and flavourfully ✅!

The soul of the porridge lies on its porridge texture, fragrance and taste blending with the ingredients. In this stall, the oomph factors still reside and pronounced despite external factors affecting business ... 😮 🤩 ⭐️ 👍

During it’s hey days, there is always long Q after 10:00am onwards as they sell raw fish - selling like hot cakes till our health authority banned it due to bacteria concerns that affect our body some years ago after some deaths were reported ... added with the woes aftermath of current pandemic, many office workers had since working from home, many Hawkers Centres within City, their livelihood had been impacted and earnings affected ... 😮

I just hoped and prayed 🙏🏻 that more people and their families shall come here to rekindle and discover great Heritage Hawkers food in the City and render their business support to them in one way or the other ...
