Singapore Hawker Food : Putu Piring

Are U Hungry 😋?

@ Haig Road Food Centre, Blk 14 Haig road. Stall : Haig Road Putu Piring #01-07

Ordered my all-timed favourite snack - Muslim Putu Piring : 5pcs for $2.50/ packet.

What’s so good 😊?

After Q-ing for 15mins patiently, my turn came and paid my share then waited a while for the Putu Piring to be cooked or rather steamed by 3 Muslim ladies whose fast hands and great teamwork and co-ordination makes the work seemed easy; one prepare ingredients, one scooped up and next steamed ... truly team@work !

Per a quick check : It’s 4th generation (4G) had arrived and hard@work as we speak... landed in the Michelin guide book too ! That’s bravo 👏! 😮 🤩 👍

Saw a new signage : “Haig Road Putu Piring” featured in NETFLIX Street Food ! Prior approval sought for the photo taking of their action inside the stall ...

Another strong testimony of 👍

So 🤔 what is Putu Piring ?

Putu Piring is steamed rice cakes filled with Palm brown sugar (Gula melaka ) served with salted shredded coconut 🥥 🌴 for extra taste bud, as a snack.

It’s fragrance aromatic of pandan leaves makes U come for more. Though the stall now had 6 outlets in the island of Singapore 🇸🇬, the newer generation has plans to expand further and to evolve newer ingredients like durians, chocolate, coconut to keep pace and stay relevant to the ever changing taste bud of the younger generation... while still keeping the original & traditional Putu Piring ⭐️ 😮 🤩👍

It’s Aromatic Fragrance Putu Piring Yummily 😋 Great 👍!
