What’s so good 😊?
Had missed coming here for the Satay Bee Hoon for the longest time ever. So after the morning peak hours, off the app and head to the stall from city area directly. 😮
Happy to see his Father @ work (that’s the sifu - master teacher) while the son at outside the stall and I got a candid shot of him ... hunky, tall and handsome with hands tattoo, earmarked the successor ... 😮 🤩
After less than 5 mins, my plate of Satay Bee Hoon ready and I brought to nearest cleaned table. Photo eats 1st !
The look 👀 of the satay gravy grazing the Bee Hoon and it’s ingredients of : Cuttlefish, pork liver, lean meat, cockles, tau pok and Kang Kong vegetables sufficient to woo U with this delectable Teochew dish ... 😮 🤩 ⭐️ 👍
The soul of the food lies on the satay gravy made with spicy chillies 🌶 and various spices made into rempah paste and hand fried well in the big wok to great taste, it’s aromatic fragrance so telling, U can literally eat it on its own. Coated with fine grain peanut 🥜 and the spicy oil created the oomph factor that made this dish famous ! 😮 🤩
Next, you shall need to toss the white Bee Hoon and mixed well with the satay gravy to ensure every strand of Bee Hoon and it’s ingredients get coated with the amazing gravy with peanuts! 😮 🤩
It’s freshly cooked ingredients of cuttlefish - chewy feel and nice soft texture and bite well; the cockles the soft feel ; the pork liver cooked to 80% with little blood oozes out and the inner soft feel make it pretty appetising w/o the smell, indeed the fresh pork liver holds great promise of great food too! ...supporting ingredients like lean meat; tau pok and kang kong vegetables blended well altogether. 😮 🤩 ⭐️ 👍
The gravy intense with great flavouring, fragrance and spicy level at 3, tastefully soothing with bits of fine peanuts and the spiciness level at comfort level.
It’s an amazing local dish worthy to preserve and going forward. The freshness of ingredients must be maintained ! It has that Old school taste !
As always ... It’s the Old School taste of Satay Bee Hoon ... Yummily 😋 Great 👍!
